Svartlihytta is a ‘back to basic cabin’ which is 65 m2 and sleeps 5 people in total. It is located at 1020 meters above sea level. The cabin has two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room, the living area consists of a seating area, a fireplace, a dining section and there is a separate kitchen with a gas stove. This cabin has no electricity except for solar power for lights, and heating is done using firewood. Water must be collected at the river or brook (drinking water) and without a fridge, food can be stored in the basement.
The cabins location is very peaceful with plenty of hiking opportunities at the doorstep. In the summertime the cabin is accessible by car, whilst in the winter time you have to ski 2km to reach the cabin – alternatively a snow scooter can be booked to transport you to the cabin.
The cabin is a good starting point for day trips to Galdhøpiggen, Sognefjellet and Sjodalen / Gjende / Besseggen.
Nearest town Lom, 17 km.
The cottage has a generator available in the summer, you just have to bring petrol. The cottage has solar power that can be used for lighting.

In winter you have to ski about 2 km from the parking to the cabin. I tis possible to book snowmobile transport. Price about 500, - (2021)
Water is fetched from the river or stream nearby. In winter, there may be ice on the water.
Poor mobile coverage at the cabin, only for sms.
Unfortunately we cannot guaranteed that the cabin is heated upon arrival.
Dogs are allowed at this cabin, but it is important that it is not in any furniture and that all dog hair is removed on departure. The cabin has a fairly new floor so dogs that have a habit of "spinning around" on the floor can unfortunately not join the cabin.
In addition to the rent a security deposit will be charged depending on the cost of your stay. This is a security for missing final cleaning, replacement of keys and damage.
