Cabin at Kvamsfjellet, 850 meters above sea level. The cabin Maurtua with annex is located in beautiful surroundings with a fantastic view of the mountains. There is a year-round road leading to the cabin.
The area around the cabin offers many great activities throughout the year. In winter, you can ski right from the cabin door, and it's about a 30-minute drive to the ski resort at Gålå. Kvamsfjellet offers cross-country skiing trails through varied landscapes, from mountain terrain to pine forests. In summer, you’ll find excellent hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Maurtua is also a perfect base for activities and hikes in Rondane National Park, Dovre National Park, and the Gudbrandsdal Valley. If you want to swim or fish, this can be done at Årvillingen, just 200 meters from the cabin.
Rondane National Park is the oldest in the country. The area boasts more than 10 peaks over 2000 meters. Whether you prefer easy walks, challenging mountain hikes, cycling, or cross-country skiing, there is plenty to choose from. Dovre National Park is ideal for winter sports or mountain hikes. The experiences in this area are grand, and the nature is majestic. Dovrefjell is particularly known for its musk ox safaris.
This cabin consists of a main cabin where you’ll find a living room with a wood-burning stove and a TV. The TV is not connected to channels but has a DVD player. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, and washing machine. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. In the annex (which is a separate building next to the main cabin), you’ll find a cozy living room with a wood stove and dining table, as well as a kitchenette. Here, you can relax with nature as your closest neighbor.
The cabin and annex have a total of 4 bedrooms, accommodating up to 11 people. The main cabin has both water and electricity, but the annex has only electricity (no running water). Please note that there is not enough space for 11 people to sit around the dining table or on the sofa, as the cabins are designed for the number of sleeping places (7/4).

This is a cabin on request, which means we need to confirm availability with the owner/co-operating partner. A final confirmation will be sent within 24 hours (weekdays only).
Final cleaning is included in the price. Bed linen and towels must be brought.

In addition to the rent a security deposit will be charged depending on the cost of your stay. This is a security for missing final cleaning, replacement of keys and damage. NOK 1.000,- for rent up to NOK 5.000,-. NOK 2.000,- for cabin with rent up to NOK 10.000. NOK 3.000,-, for cabin with rent over NOK 10.000,-. The deposit will be refunded after your stay.
