New and comfortable cabin with panoramic mountain views, located in beautiful natural surroundings between Hedalen and Vassfaret in Valdres – just a 2.5-hour drive from Oslo. Situated at approximately 850 meters above sea level, the cabin offers fantastic views towards Hellsenningen, Moltefjell, and Hellsenningsberget. With direct access to both forest and mountain terrain, it’s the perfect base for active or relaxing days all year round.

The surrounding area:
Hedalen and Vassfaret are a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. In winter, the area is known as one of the best high-mountain regions for cross-country skiing in Eastern Norway, offering 150 km of groomed trails passing right by the cabin area. The region has stable snow conditions and well-maintained trails up to 1150 meters above sea level.

During summer, the area offers excellent hiking in both forests and mountains. Most nearby lakes offer great fishing opportunities with a shared fishing license. Ice fishing is also popular on many lakes in the area, and cycling enthusiasts will find plenty of scenic routes to explore.

For those looking to combine nature with activities, you’ll find several attractions within an hour’s drive, including Langedrag Nature Park, Bjørneparken in Flå, Tropicana Water Park in Gol, and rafting in Begna. There are also nearby opportunities for alpine skiing and golf, such as Nesbyen Alpine Centre and Valdres Golf. The region also has a vibrant cultural scene, with popular events like the Norwegian Rakfisk Festival, Hemsing Festival, and Valdres Summer Symphony.

The cabin: 
Hedda Hedalsfjellet cabin features a cozy and welcoming living room with a sofa, dining area, bay window bed, and a fireplace to warm up after a day outdoors. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cabin has one bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, as well as an additional toilet in the utility room.

The cabin has a total of 9 beds, with 7 beds in 3 bedrooms and 2 beds in the bay window nook.

There is no Wi-Fi at the cabin, but the area has good 4G coverage for those who need to stay connected.
