In the wintertime, cross country trails starts right outside the door and in the summer time you can go hiking in the mountains, go fishing, swimming and cycling. There are several ski resorts within 30 minutes drive. Hemsedal Alpine Centre, which is Norway's largest alpine resort, is a 45-minute drive from the cabin.

Tisleidalen is a small idyllic valley with varied and beautiful nature. Here you will find both forest and mountains which is perfect for families. In winter, a large network of cross-country trails is prepared on both sides of the valley. In summer, there are great fishing opportunities in mountain lakes and wonderful cycling and paddling opportunities in the area. Tisleia is one of Norway's best mountain trout river. The mountain bike park at the Red Cross center Marked approx. 10 minutes away from the cabin.

Jettergrytter in Åbjøra and by Kvitingen, which are traces of the Ice Age, are worth a visit.
