Cabin at Holsåsen, 15 km from Geilo. Skarvhytta 5 is located at 980 meters, with a nice view towards Hallingskarvet. Short distance to cross country trails during the winter, and hiking areas in the summer. Quiet and family friendly area.
Activities/attraction in the area:
The cabin is centrally located in upper Hallingdal where you can find a number of adventure and cultural activities all year round. For example, Geilo, Hallingdal Feriepark (Holiday park) in Ål, Hol Cheese Factory which sells local products, Langedrag (Nature park), Hallingskarvet Fjellbad (indoor swimming pool), open summer mountain farms and fishing.
There are a number of areas for hiking in the summer and for cross-country skiing in the winter. In the summer you can drive along the Varaldsetvegen road to Vats however during winter the road is only open as far as Storemyr.
Fishing in the area: There is limited access to fishing at Holsåsen, but you can buy fishing licence to Holsfjorden, Hallingdalselva and Bergsjøområdet.
