In winter, you can ski in and out – part of the property borders the ski slope itself. Cross-country trails are also within close reach.
Bloksberg is set on a large natural plot with great hiking right outside the door. It's about a 500 meter walk down to the town center, partly through terrain.
This cabin is a perfect year-round getaway, with a wide range of activities nearby – skiing and sledding in winter, and hiking and biking during summer and autumn. In summer, you can enjoy mountain biking on trails that pass just outside the cabin.
Geilo is a top ski destination for families, with 21 lifts, 39 slopes, and 4 terrain parks. The area also offers 500 km of cross-country trails, both in the mountains and the valley, plus a beautiful floodlit trail near the Geilohallen sports arena.
You’ll find a wide selection of activities for both summer and winter – from sledding hills, dog sledding, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, and snowmobile safaris, to horseback riding, rafting, fishing in 34 mountain lakes, golfing, and excellent hiking. There are several mountain lodges with food service – we highly recommend the traditional sour cream porridge at Prestholtseter.
If the weather turns bad, Geilo also offers two bowling alleys and the indoor water park at Vestlia Resort. You'll find plenty of restaurants and cafés for all tastes.
Geilo is easy to reach by both car and train from both east and west.
Bloksberg features a spacious living room with comfortable armchairs, a TV with Norwegian channels, and a dining area. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are four bedrooms with space for up to 9 people. The cabin has 2 separate toilets and 1 bathroom with a shower. Water comes from a private well and is safe to drink, but we recommend using it mindfully, especially in dry periods.

In summer, the cabin is accessible by car, with several parking spaces on the property. In winter, there is no car access, but snowmobile transport can be arranged. You may unload luggage 100 meters from the cabin. Snowshoes and a sled are available for guest use. You can also take the Geilo chairlift up and ski down to the cabin via the Geilo trail.

Final cleaning is included in the price. Guests must bring their own bedding and towels.
Pets are not allowed in this cabin.
There are sledding opportunities right outside the door on the property, but the ski slope cannot be used for sledding when the lift is running or when the slope is being groomed.
Free parking for one car is available near the train station. The closest winter road access is 100 meters from the cabin; there is no parking at the cabin itself.
The last few meters to the cabin are not cleared of snow. Snowshoes and snow shoveling equipment are available at the entrance. A pulk (sled) can be borrowed.
In addition to the rent a security deposit will be charged depending on the cost of your stay. This is a security for missing final cleaning, replacement of keys and damage.
