Hjelvikhytte's location is fantastic, with great view over Romsdalsfjorden. The cabin is situated in Vågstranda, Vestnes county. You have your own shoreline, just a few meters from the cabin to the sea. Fishing opportunities are right outside you front door, both from the shore or from boat. From May to September you can rent a boat with the house. The cabin is excellent situated for visits to Trollstigen, and hiking the magnificent Romsdalseggen mountain.
Romsdalsfjorden stretches about 88 kilometers inland, offering not just a feast for the eyes, but also a playground for outdoor enthusiasts. If you're into hiking, the nearby mountains provide some of the best trails with breathtaking panoramic views. And if you're more of a water enthusiast, sailing or kayaking on the fjord is an experience you won't forget.
Hjelvikhytte is located a short distance from the best randonee destinations in Romsdalen, which is a fantastic experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Romsdalen is known for its dramatic mountains and beautiful landscapes, making it a popular spot for randonee and skiing. The area offers many routes, ranging from easier to more challenging, and you can enjoy stunning views of fjords and mountain peaks. Just remember to check the snow conditions and weather forecast before you head out! During the winter it's short distance to cross country trails, and only 25 km to Ørskogfjell ski center which is great for families.
You can take a ferry from Vestnes to Molde, which is well worth a visit during summer time. It's not without reason the town is called The city of Roses.

Boat can be rented - Pioner 13/10HP. Boat is available during the period May - September. If damage/accident occurs, there is a deductible of NOK 6,000.
In addition to the rent a security deposit will be charged depending on the cost of your stay. This is a security for replacement of keys and damage.
