Hjelvikhytte's location is fantastic, with great view over Romsdalsfjorden. The cabin is situated in Vågstranda, Vestnes county. You have your own shoreline, just a few meters from the cabin to the sea. Fishing opportunities are right outside you front door, both from the shore or from boat. From May to September you can rent a boat with the house. The cabin is excellent situated for visits to Trollstigen, and hiking the magnificent Romsdalseggen mountain.
Romsdalsfjorden stretches about 88 kilometers inland, offering not just a feast for the eyes, but also a playground for outdoor enthusiasts. If you're into hiking, the nearby mountains provide some of the best trails with breathtaking panoramic views. And if you're more of a water enthusiast, sailing or kayaking on the fjord is an experience you won't forget.
You can take a ferry from Vestnes to Molde, which is well worth a visit during summer time. It's not without reason the town is called The city of Roses.
During the winter it's short distance to cross country trails, and only 25 km to Ørskogfjell ski center which is great for families.
